Multiliquid raises $8 million to expand tokenized asset settlement

Uniform Labs said Thursday, Oct. 15, that it had raised $8 million across two rounds for Multiliquid, its platform for settling tokenized assets and stablecoins, according to The Block’s report.

  • Total raised: $8 million across pre-seed and seed rounds.
  • Pre-seed: raised between May and June 2025.
  • Seed: raised between April and June 2026.

The seed round was led by Polychain and included Strobe Ventures, CMT Digital, Metalayer Ventures, Generative Ventures and Circle Ventures, according to Uniform Labs’ announcement carried by AAP. The company did not disclose how the $8 million was divided between the rounds or the seed round’s valuation.

Who backed Multiliquid’s latest round?

Polychain led the seed round, with five other firms joining. The company said the funding brings Multiliquid’s total raised to $8 million. The pre-seed used a simple agreement for future equity, or SAFE, which gives investors a right to shares later; the seed was a priced equity round, in which shares are sold at an agreed price, founder and CEO Will Beeson told The Block.

Uniform Labs has not formed a board, Beeson said. The company did not disclose the terms of the investors’ stakes. Its announcement described the round as a seed, while The Block reported the total as funding across both seed and pre-seed rounds.

How does Multiliquid settle tokenized assets?

Multiliquid lets institutions convert tokenized assets into stablecoins, or the reverse, in one transaction. A stablecoin is a digital token designed to track the value of a currency such as the US dollar. The platform is live on Ethereum and Solana, according to The Block.

The company says the system supports tokenized funds from Wellington Management, VanEck, Janus Henderson and Fasanara, and stablecoins including USDC. Tokenized funds represent investments recorded on a blockchain, but their ordinary subscription or redemption processes can still take days, Beeson said. That delay can limit how quickly institutions move funds to adjust reserves, meet margin calls or change investment plans.

Multiliquid says its service executes both sides of a conversion together, at net asset value, rather than leaving a firm to wait through an issuer’s redemption process. The company describes itself as non-custodial and says it works with permissioned token standards, which can enforce identity checks and transfer rules at settlement. The platform is handling initial pilot transactions, Beeson told The Block; he did not provide transaction volumes, assets settled or customer numbers.

What will the $8 million fund?

Uniform Labs plans to use the money to expand protocol engineering, add liquidity providers and trading venue partners, and integrate more tokenized cash and Treasury products across Ethereum-compatible networks and Solana. Liquidity providers make assets available for trades, helping users convert between them.

Beeson said the company had five employees and planned to hire protocol engineers and institutional business development staff through early 2027. The company also said it was adding liquidity providers in the fourth quarter. It charges fees on completed conversions, measured in basis points—a small fraction of the transaction value—and Beeson said it had no current plan to issue a Multiliquid token.
